The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Development and Reform Commission recently issued a notice requesting localities to strictly control the energy consumption of landscape lighting for public facilities and large buildings, strictly control the scale of landscape lighting construction, and resolutely eliminate inefficient lighting products.
The two departments require that all places should prohibit the construction of landscape lighting projects with excessive brightness and energy consumption, and prohibit the use of high-brightness, high-power floodlights, large-area neon lights and other high-brightness, high-energy lamps in landscape lighting.
